Turn-Based RPGs Worth Your Battery
Fast action RPGs look great in trailers, but on a phone the turn-based ones tend to stick with us longer. You can pause, think, and come back without losing your place, which matches how most people actually play on mobile. Emberfall Saga is our current go-to example. Its battles reward planning, and the story keeps you moving forward even during slower stretches. The fact that you can play a full fight one-handed on a crowded train is underrated. My advice for newcomers: don't skip the early tutorial battles even when they feel easy. The systems stack on top of each other, and the mid-game assumes you understood the basics. Learn your characters before the difficulty spikes. Turn-based combat isn't flashy, but it respects your time and attention in a way that twitchy real-time systems rarely do on a touchscreen.
