About
Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where three friends kept arguing about which games were worth the storage space on our phones. At some point we figured we might as well write it down, and the arguing turned into a small editorial routine with release calendars and shared notes.
We don't review anything we haven't finished or at least played properly. For a short puzzle game that might mean a couple of evenings; for a sprawling RPG it can take weeks before we feel comfortable saying anything out loud.
Games end up on our list for different reasons. Some are chasing a trend, some get recommended by readers, and a few we just stumble onto while killing time on a train. We try to cover every genre because our readers don't all like the same things.
